Fried gnocco made from leavened dough, pre-fried and frozen, produced in Emilia in the traditional way. A crumbly speciality with its characteristic rectangular shape, ready in just a few minutes, ideal as a starter or for aperitivo in Ho.Re.Ca. service.
- Format: retail box of 200g, around 8 pieces (single piece ~25g, rectangular shape)
- Sold as: sold by the case of 6 boxes
- Main ingredients: soft wheat flour, water, sunflower seed oil, iodised salt 1.8%, malted wheat flour, lard, emulsifier E471, yeast
- Cooking: in a pan about 6 minutes (4 if defrosted); in a preheated oven at 200°C for 4-5 minutes; in an air fryer at 200°C for 4 minutes from frozen
- Storage: frozen at -18°C; must be cooked before eating. Once defrosted, do not refreeze
- Allergens: gluten (wheat); may contain traces of soy and mustard
- Origin: produced by Soavegel srl, Francavilla Fontana (BR), Italy
Traditionally served warm alongside mixed cured meats such as dry-cured ham, mortadella and coppa, with soft cheeses. Perfect on a sharing platter for aperitivo or as a starter from the Emilian tradition, it pairs well with a glass of Lambrusco.
