Whole cloves, the dried flower buds of the Eugenia aromatica plant (Myrtaceae family), brown in colour with a characteristic aroma. A traditional spice for Ho.Re.Ca. kitchens, used in the cooking of stews and in the preparation of mulled wine.

Ideal for seasoning stews, braised dishes and slow-cooked sauces, as well as for preparing mulled wine and warm spiced drinks. Traditionally also used in pastry for spiced bakes and to flavour stocks and marinades. A small amount is enough to impart its characteristic warm, pungent aroma.
