Swiss Emmentaler AOP, a hard cheese with the characteristic holes and a dry rind, with a pale straw-yellow paste. The flavour is delicate, with nutty notes. Ideal in Ho.Re.Ca. kitchens for sharing platters, sandwiches and gratin dishes.

Pairs well with rustic bread, nuts and apples, as well as structured white wines. Traditionally served on a mixed cheese board, it also works sliced for sandwiches and toasties, or grated for gratins and fondue. Cut into cubes, it makes a fine finger food for buffets and banquets.
